The WCOOP series season is always an eagerly awaited moment for poker players and fans around the world. However, in 2024, the spotlight turned to the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event<\/strong>, played on the virtual tables of GGPoker<\/strong>. This was the biggest online tournament ever, with a record prize pool of $29.193.500<\/strong>, after 6,146 entries<\/strong>.<\/p>

Last Tuesday, two of the best professionals in the Polarize Poker<\/strong>, Rui Ferreira<\/a><\/strong> and Diogo Coelho<\/a><\/strong>, returned to the tables in the fight for the coveted gold bracelet and the first prize of $4.021.012<\/strong>, the biggest prize in the history of online tournaments. Among the 9 finalists<\/strong>, the two Portuguese players showed all their talent and resilience.<\/p>

An Incredible Journey: The Podium and the Biggest Prize Ever in Portugal<\/strong><\/h2>

Despite their brilliant performances, Portugal's run to the title ended at the 3-handed stage. Rui Ferreira<\/strong>, which guaranteed the 3rd place<\/strong>, took home a monumental prize of $2.390.418<\/strong>, becoming the player with the biggest prize ever in the history of portuguese poker<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>

Diogo Coelho<\/strong> wasn't far behind either, winning the 5th position<\/strong> and pocket $1.421.478<\/strong>, the biggest prize of his career.<\/p>

Although the bracelet didn't come to Portugal, the two Polarize Poker athletes left the event with prizes of seven digits<\/strong>, writing another golden chapter in the history of national poker.<\/p>

A Historic Day for Portugal and Polarize Poker<\/strong><\/h2>

Daniel Cust\u00f3dio, better known as Dani<\/strong>, one of the big names in Polarize Poker, also expressed his pride at seeing his colleagues in action. In an excerpt from a recent interview, Dani shares his vision of this epic day:<\/p>

Finally, Dani mentioned the greatness of Rui Ferreira<\/strong>, a player you can't help but admire:<\/p>
