O jejum intermitente <strong>existe durante a maior parte da hist\u00f3ria humana<\/strong>, e os benef\u00edcios inerentes \u00e0 nossa sa\u00fade foram datados em civiliza\u00e7\u00f5es antigas. Portanto, tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 uma das pr\u00e1ticas que mais estudos cient\u00edficos apresenta.<\/p><div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><p style=\"font-size:15px\">No s\u00e9culo XIV, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/biography\/Paracelsus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Philip Paracelsus<\/a> (1493-1541), escreveu: <strong><em>\u201cJejum \u00e9 o melhor de todos rem\u00e9dios\u201d<\/em><\/strong>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/biography\/Benjamin-Franklin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Benjamin Franklin<\/a> (1706-1790) escreveu: <strong><em>\u201cO melhor de todos rem\u00e9dios \u00e9 o descanso e o jejum\u201d.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-size:15px\">A n\u00edvel de <strong>pr\u00e1ticas religiosas<\/strong> o jejum \u00e9 um acontecimento bastante comum. Desta forma, temos o exemplo dos mu\u00e7ulmanos, no <strong>Ramad\u00e3o<\/strong>, praticam um ritual de jejum. Sendo que, todos os dias desse m\u00eas abst\u00eam-se de comer, beber, fumar ou ter rela\u00e7\u00f5es sexuais, desde que o sol nasce at\u00e9 que o sol se p\u00f5e. O <strong>profeta Maom\u00e9<\/strong> incentivava o jejum todas as segundas e quintas-feiras. Para al\u00e9m disso, a <strong>doutrina cat\u00f3lica<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m defende a pr\u00e1tica do jejum. Isto \u00e9, o cat\u00f3lico deve praticar o <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.aleteia.org\/2017\/01\/17\/e-verdade-que-toda-sexta-feira-e-dia-de-jejum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">jejum semanalmente<\/a>, nas datas da quarta-feira de cinzas e sexta-feira da Paix\u00e3o de Jesus Cristo. Contudo, atualmente, a Igreja n\u00e3o promove este ato e quase ningu\u00e9m segue estas diretrizes<\/p><div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div><p style=\"font-size:15px\">O jejum intermitente pode ser visto como uma<strong> terapia de reequil\u00edbrio do nosso corpo. <\/strong>Isto \u00e9, que consiste em ficar algumas horas do dia sem comer e \u00e9 interrompido pelo pequeno-almo\u00e7o. Sendo que, podemos armazenar no nosso corpo cerca de 1.600 a 2.000 calorias em glicog\u00e9nio nos m\u00fasculos, enquanto que em <strong>gordura podemos acumular mais de 40.000 calorias.<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-size:15px\">No in\u00edcio do jejum, quando se deixa de comer, o nosso corpo est\u00e1 a usar a glicose, como fonte de energia.
