Rui “RuiNF” Ferreira got to know poker before he was 18 and immediately fell in love with the game. On his 18th birthday, he deposited €50 at Pokerstars.com and began to play full time. More than a decade later, he is arguably one of the best tournament players in the world. In his second year as a professional he played more than 11,000 games, and now he has played around 60,000 tournaments, so when it comes to work, Rui is a “machine”. He currently devotes most of his time to duties related to Polarize, from management to coaching. Even so, he puts in a brutal workload at the tables during the SCOOPs and WCOOPs. Lately he's been a mentor at Polarize's High Performance House, which means that even outside the series he plays ⅔ days a week. In addition to all the studying he does on his own, he also reviews a daily tournament with the athletes who are sharing the house with him. He believes that only those who really dedicate themselves can reach the top. That's why, throughout his career, he has always dedicated a large number of hours to both studying and playing. Today, he invests a good deal of his time in personal statistical analysis, believing it to be the best solution for correcting leaks and exploiting opponents. He has also mastered various working tools, as he believes this is the ideal way to reach the top. In 2017, he founded Polarize with the aim of professionalizing poker.
