Enis Rouissi leads the six-player final table in the 2024 France Poker Series main event. The record-breaking tournament with 4,149 entrants will culminate on Monday at Le Palais des Congrès in Paris, with the champion taking home €470,830.
Rouissi was in trouble when he went all in with pocket queens against Kacper Pyzara's kings at the last two tables. He hit a two-card on the turn to stay afloat and eventually ended up with a big chip lead among the final six.
Scott Margereson has the shortest stack, but is the most experienced finalist with titles at the PokerStars WCOOP, SCOOP and Sunday Million.
Mateusz Moolhuizen has been a regular on the circuit for a decade, while Blaz Zerjav already has a seven-figure online winnings.
Pyzara, who recovered from the bad beat, is also a professional player. He won his way into the FPS online main event on PokerStars.
Only chip leader Rouissi and Yassine Baqal consider themselves recreational players. They will represent the host nation in front of the PokerStars TV cameras.
