Exactly one year ago, Polarize Poker released the documentary “More Than a Game”, a production that led us to reflect on poker in a completely new way. This documentary, divided into five episodes, brought a authentic and transparent vision about the lives of our elite poker athletes, allowing the public to gain an in-depth understanding of what it really means to be a professional player. Today, we celebrate one year of this incredible journey and look back on the impact of this project on the poker community.
The Purpose of “More Than a Game”
From the outset, the documentary's objective was clear: it wasn't just about promoting the Polarize brand, but about presenting the human, disciplined and focused side of the professional player to the world. This documentary helped demystify poker, shows and highlights the importance of routine and balance in players' lives, and highlights the role of the community in the evolution and support of each player.
This production focuses on aspects such as routine, mental preparation, and the challenges of competing in international series such as the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), the WSOP Online and the Winamax Series.
The Impact of Documentaries on the Poker Community
Its launch generated a wave of empathy and respect for the lifestyle of our athletes, demonstrating to the world that poker is a demanding and passionate mental sport. The series allowed fans, families and friends of the players to see the committed and disciplined side that this sport demands, contrary to the stereotypical image of luck and risk often associated with poker.

- Episode 2 - The Routine: Focuses on the importance of routine and consistency. It is introduced by Marcelo Müller, Polarize's Mental Coach, who highlights the fundamental role of mental training.
- Episode 3 - Pre-series: Here, the players reflect on the preparation ahead of one of the biggest events of the year. They also share the impact of breaks and self-care, which are essential for long-term success.
- Episode 4 - Series: This episode shows the start of the competitions, the ups and downs during the WCOOP. It also reveals the intense and focused routine of our athletes.
- Episode 5 - Evolution: The final episode brings the series to a close with a reflection on the lessons learned, achievements and lessons from an intense time, where discipline and professionalism are highlighted as the secret to success.
